Nowadays, some people who like food are no longer satisfied with Chinese food. They often go to western restaurants to taste the food, and steak is the food they will not miss when they go to the western restaurant to eat. But the way to use steak is different from Chinese food. It requires a knife and fork to be used at the same time. So when eating steak, how should the knife and fork be used? In Western food, steaks are mostly on the menu as the main course, so when you dine, you should enjoy it in the order of starter, soup, side course, main course, salad, dessert, coffee and tea.
1. When using a knife and fork to eat, take the knife and fork from the outside to the inside. Hold the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right. Straighten your index finger and press on the back of the fork; in addition to holding the knife in the same way as a fork, you can also use your thumb and index finger to tightly clamp the joint between the handle and the blade. According to the food, choose a method that is easier to eat. You can cut steak with the knife in your hand, and the fork in your left hand can hold the food, or you can put the food in your mouth.
2.When eating steak, hold the fork in your left hand, press the left end of the food with the fork, fix it, and cut a bite-sized food along the side of the fork with a knife, and then use the fork to feed it into your mouth. Note that you should not use force when pulling the knife back, but when pressing it forward, so that the food can be cut cleanly. The method of holding the knife in the right hand is the same as holding the fork in the left hand, but when holding the knife in the right hand, you must use your thumb and index finger to tightly clamp the joint between the handle and the blade. Only in this way can you use the knife and fork flexibly when eating steak.
3.When eating steak with a knife and fork, the knife and fork must be slightly inclined to the direction of the plate, and they must not be used only, and the knife and fork must be completely controlled in the palm of the hand, only then will the steak be cut smoothly. When cutting, first fix the steak with the fork in the left hand, then cut a steak with the knife in the right hand, and then cut the long steak into chunks that can be eaten by the same method, then use the fork. Put the steak glutinous into the sauce and take it to your mouth.
4.When using a knife, the blade should not face outwards. When placing the knife and fork in a meal, separate the knife and fork from the left and right, and place them on the side of the dinner plate, with the blade facing itself, indicating that you will continue to eat. After eating a dish, put the knife and fork together on the plate. If it is a conversation, you can hold a knife and fork without putting it down. When not using a knife, you can also hold the fork with your right hand. When you want to drink a drink or water, you can’t take a cup in one hand and a fork in the other hand. Remember, at no time should one end of the knife and fork be placed on the plate and the other end on the table.
